The investment objective of the Fund is to achieve long-term absolute returns by profiting from market inefficiencies in the equity market, especially in evaluating tech-enabled businesses that have limited track records in public markets.
The portfolio manager employs a research-heavy securities selection process, focusing on multi-year trends and dislocations. Buy/hold/sell decisions are supported by in-depth fundamental research.
The Fund invest in single name equities and derivatives, including but not limited to options, warrants, swaps and convertible securities. The Fund may also take positions in currencies or index futures as a hedging tool for its investment portfolio. There are no geographical limitations on the types of equities in which the Fund invest in, but focuses predominantly on public equities in Hong Kong and Mainland China. The average holding duration for the long side of the portfolio is expected to be 3 to 5 years.
Ms. La has over 15 years of experience in the investment industry. She obtained her B.S. in Economics in Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School.
She was previously a partner and senior analyst and Keyrock Capital. Earlier in her career, Ms. La worked as a Global Internet Analyst at Tybourne Capital, and investment manager and CITIC Capital.
